For anyone who doesn't know, first and foremost Dide is a rapper, and his EP 'who is Dide?' launches this week on Thursday.

His debut track 'Thrill' stands at 2.2 million views after launching 5 months ago.

But there is an interesting sub plot to the story of Dide. He claims to be a Premier League footballer - a player who is currently playing, at that.

He fuels this speculation by appearing in all video and image material donning an intricate, flowered mask.

Which has led to an immense frenzy of press and speculation on the rapper's identity ... and some wondering whether it's true at all.

No doubt the internet will keep guessing until the identity of this talent is revealed (if ever) - and as marketing tactics go, it certainly stands on its own as an immense triumph!
